Localization
(sure or highly probable)
If this is the name of Time/ilkiya in the period of Hittites (Nashef 1991:120; Kuzuoğlu 2007: 157), then one must look for the city in a close distance to Hahhum and Hurama since they were mentioned together in the texts of Kültepe.

Other Localization Proposals It is indicated that Time/ilkiya (=Tamalkiya) was a station on the main route between Assyria and Kaniš, so it must have been located between Hahhum and Hurama, and that it bears the possibility to have been located at the south or southeast of Kaniš, and it was the third destination in the direction of Kaniš and the first one after Hahhum in the direction of Assyria (Nashef 1987: 4). Forlanini suggests to locate the city between Hahhum and Luhhuzattiya (Forlanini 1985: 67), Larsen, around Hahhum and Hurama (Larsen 1976: 239), Yılmaz, around Afşin, at the northeast of Elbistan (Yılmaz (Gül) 2001: 41). For the other suggestions regarding its location, see Nashef 1991: 119-120. Its mention with Zalpa in some texts of Kültepe (I 572, 6-7 and Kt 92/k 1018, 15-16) indicates that it is a neighbor of Zalpa. In this situation, the possibility of its location between Hahhum and Hurama decreases, and one must look for the city betwen Hurama and Zalpa (Kuzuoğlu 2007: 157).
