Survey Findings Tell Atchana is not a site that was only registered during both earlier and current Amuq Plain survey projects but it is a well excavated site with its continuous stratigraphy. It was first excavated by Sir Leonard Woolley between 1936 and 1949, and the renewed excavations are being conducted under the direction of K. Aslıhan Yener from 2000 on. For detailed information about the site and the finds, please refer to the Bibliography.
