Survey Findings We came across to a lion sculpture on the rocky area at the southeast of Demirciler village. Worked on one side as a draft, the lion sculpture seems to have been designed as a gate lion with one side adjacent to a wall. Having standed upright at first, the sculpture was toppled down by treasure hunters. The lion sculpture is 3.18 m long, 2.23 m high and 93 cm wide. Its fore and hind legs were shown in relief and its mouth in open and roaring position. It has many parallels to the lion sculptures indicated to have been brought from Elbistan which are exhibited now in Kahramanmaraş Museum.
