Location and geographical Features



The mound is located on a wide valley base, at the top of the higher southern part of a gypsum rock, which extends lays in northwest-southeast direction, commanding a narrow passage that opens to the Kızılırmaz basin. A dry waterbed runs near the eastern slopes. The bedrock can bee seen at the top and on the steep southern and western slopes. Illegal digs are evidenced by numerous pits.
